Broadcast in the evening or early Lawn GREAT Mead Reclamation Commissioner that he has reconsidered his former stand with respect to the Hyrum or Cache Valley unit of the Salt Lake basin irrigation project, and will nowdirect that the reclamation bureau, in building this unit, not only con struct all storage and diversion works, but acquire all rights of way that may be necessary, and enlarge the canals, without calling on the land owners under the unit to carry forward any part of this work. For several weeks Commissioner Mead was insistent that the water users should be required to provide the government with such new right of way as it may need, and should also enlarge their own canals. He was fearful, he said, that if this cost ranging around $300,000, were added to the construction cost, it might run the per acre cost to a point where the government might not recover its investment in full. 8enator Smoot has asserted that the land owners will be fully able to reimburse the government alter the works are completed, but has been insistent that the reclamation bu reau, as is usually the practice, acquire the rights of way and enlarge the canals as a part of the construction program. This the commission has agreed to do. iWfJS&S; Pressed Gear ch sale price 04 If $1.85 HOSE SPECIALS inch RELIABLE MOLDED HOSE, $2.95 lengths, coupled $5.85 lengths, coupled GOODYEAR HIGH PRESSURE WINGFOOT, 3A couplings, $3.65 lengths $8.95 lengths GOODYEAR DE LUXE Green Sunproof, Rubher Covered. Turkish women are preparing a revolution to overthrow woman's traditional role in time of war. This group, led by a brilliant young member of Stamboul's new feminine intelligenzfa. Shasiye Hanem, declares that in the next war the enlightened woman of Turkey win not be the theoretical "gjrl behind the man behind the gun." but actually the girl behind the gun. Women Find Leader for Trench Drive During War. Shasiye Hanem says that if war falls again upon this generation, she herself will lead into the trenches women who refuse to bear again the intolerable wartime burden of waiting behind the lines. "Keeping the home-fire- s burning when there are only tatters of nerves and shreds of hearts to kindle the flames is a harder job than soldiering," says this young reformer. "We pray to Allah that there may be no "next war,' but if there is, we Turkish women who have seen our mothers wither beneath the bitter waiting at home will never submit to their fate. We will fight in the front lines and die outright rather than have our hearts and minds slowly murdered." Women Take Part in Fight For Rights During Conflict. This potential Joan of Arc" of the new Turkey would have women fight In war partly for the sake ol tnelr own sanity. Turkish alienists bear out her statement that over half of Turkish city women today are neurasthaolc or Insane, one of the basic causes being Turkey's incessant wars in the last half centurv. during which the only occupation of tat men unemancipated city women was to wring their hands and go mad. Peasant women, on the contrary, among whom the percentage of in sanity is low, have always taken an active part in warfare, many of them lighting in the front lines, but many more transporting ammunition and providing supplies. Another aspect of woman's part in the next war, new enough in Turkey, is given in an editorial which appeared in the official Turkish press. Here the point is made that the greatest virtue of the emancipation of women is to have rendered them capable of carrying on the civil affairs of the nation during of LOGAN Poultry producers Cache county are completing plans to make a tour of leading poultry farms in Utah an Salt Lake coun-- i ties Friday, Mayl. according to County Agricultural Agent Robert L.
