Show time visiting her sister, Mrs. Mary Lou Hoggard in Midvale. Duke Edwards is at home convalescing after twelve days in the Utah Valley hospital in Provo where he underwent surgery followed by a serious illness, which turned out to be septicemia. Its more like a mare that visits at night And gives those asleep a terrible fright. I hope that our country survives this blight! Does anyone except me think it strange that a town so gung-h- o on proper, zoning laws would tolerate a recreation re they play night baseball right across the street from the hospital? In writing up Monticellos big parade, I inadvertently left out the float created by the Etcetera Club. This was done in the Monticello school colors of black and orange. It was immediately in front of the band and had members of previous MHS bands striking up sour notes on their instruments. The caption on the float read Youve come a long way, baby! Playing off-kmusic were Pearl Lewis, Marilyn Rowley, Helen (Summers) Redd and Bruce Adams. This float definitely got the most laughs of any in the parade. Recent visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie M.
