The Hooks were well known in the Four Corners area, having spent their summers here since 1957. They were active in the mining business at Fry Canyon as well as throughout the Four Corners better. BySHERON BRUCE The old stork has made two recent stops for Montezuma Creek residents. Stop one was at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Topaha. Born in Cortez, Colorado, was Kathy Julie, on July 15th. She weighed in at 7 pounds and 13 ounces. Again the great white bird brought the wrong sex, but the baby will be accepted with much love and joy. Dona and Drew Williamson are the proud parents of Miss Casey Penn, born July 30th, at Providence Memorial Hospital in El Paso, Texas. At 5 p.m. she made her debut weighing 6 pounds and 7 ounces. Drew said a son would have been nice but now he has his own harem. Casey joined two other sisters, Amber and Brooke. Tom Whatley is out of the hospital now and seems to be doing fine. We are all very glad that the accident didnt keep Tom and Darlene down too long. The Roger Bizzell family and the Mike Scotts went camping over the weekend at Transfer Park near Lemon Dam above Durango, Colorado. On their way Roger and Bobby e met Mr. and Mrs. James Bizzell of Lindrith, New Mexico in Farmington to pick up their sons, Curtis, Jayson, and Vince, who have been staying with their grandparents for the past week. Doug Madlock said his final goodbyes to all his friends here last Friday to join his family in Aztec, New Mexico. As a farewell to the Madlock family their friends here in camp gave them three sand-paintin- gs. Visiting in the home of Louise and Tuffy Overton were Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Berry, Ft. Hood, Texas; Mr. and Mrs. Wade Dennison and children from Leeirs, Colorado; and Tommy LaFranc of Dolores, Colorado. Tuffy and Louise also have a set of grandchildren, Kay and Lonny Hamilton from Ft. Hood, Texas, staying with them. An old classmate of Nancy Morrell, Mrs. Larry Utberg, spent several days with the Morrell family reminiscing the good old days in Iowa. were visiting Newlyweds Karen, Larry, and Tommy Moore this past week. They were Shirley and Jim Stone from Sidney, Ohio. Larry said they took his sister and new husband sightseeing two days, then abandoned them in the mountains to camp alone for a few days. Sounds like real brotherly love. Barbara and Chuck Carmen and children spent a few days in Wink, Texas visiting Chucks parents, Mr.andMrs. U. V. Carmen. Andy Anderson, Chaco, New Mexico and Mr. and Mrs. Tex Massey of Veil, Arizona were here Saturday to look over Montezuma Creek and the El 79 Beef Patties Breaded Paso camp.
