Albert and Gladys Lyman Long-Tim- e Resident Dies In the passing of Rachel Perkins Lyman, who died in a Salt Lake hospital on the 21st of the month, we have lost a life-lon- g acquaintance. We have known her since she was a little' girl over seventy years ago in Bluff, and she is a part of many cherished memories. When her sister, Ruth Jones died, leaving four small children, one of them a young baby, Rachel became mother to them until they were able to care for themselves, and later she married Alvin Lyman, a widdower, with whom she had been in love in the days of her latter girlhood. They made their home in May-fielUtah, and she was buried there Saturday. A company going from San Juan to the funeral included Mr. and Mrs. Norman Nielson, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Jones and Mrs. Kis-te- n Perkins of Blanding; Mr. and Mrs. Keith Jones of Bluff, and Mrs. Maggie Nielson of Monticello. "Who followed you? we enquired. "It was Dad. "Where did he overtake you?" "It was at the cabin. Meaning the cabin at Pose on North Elm. They had steered along that scarey dugway across The Notch, and negotiated all the twists and turns and pitches, and thought nothing of it. "Did your dad bring you back? we pursued.
