Wc realize without the Jughc't aluable help of his committees he couldnt have done the job, but it took his push, immaginatyn, foresight and days of his own time to get the work rolling; G. R. Parry of Cedar City spent his own time and money in hauling all the old freight wagons and other vehicles to Parowan and getting them back. He made a special trip to Nevada at his own expense to get tea msto draw the vehicles, and certainly provided some of the most interesting part of the parade; the citizens of Escalante Valley who turned out almost solidly to provide beautiful floats and exhibits for the fair, contributed greatly to its success. Again, we know there are many people whose names we hasnt mentioned, but the fact that we have, docsnt by any stretch of the immagination mean that we dont appreciate all the long hours of work that they put in and their accomplishments, nor that we dont know' who they are. We want them to know' that a collective pat on the back is being handed to them. . . oi 1 uxll-btw- j sinsntyy2 10 THRILL PACKED wilh "Fun for all th Family." It's EDUINSPIRA. The very fact that the people of the entire county have banded tomake fine to a fair indicates to us that their thinkgether ing is a lot bigger than petty sectionalism. This fact is significant if the county is to continue to grow & develop 1 above-name- a - y . . . All American mines pay about the same for wages and supplies. But taxes, which are equally important costs, vary from state to stale. If our mines are burdened with excessive taxes, they can't compete. And Utah will lose jobs, tax income and the chance to attract money to develop new mining ventures.
