This fact was revealed this (Thurs) by a crew from the Soil Conservation Service after their return from measuring snow depths on courses on Parowan mountain.. Snow depth at the Ed Ward Flat was only 7 inches with a water content of 2.9 inches. This compares with 24.9 in. of snow and 5.6 in. of water last year. At the Yankee Reservoir course snow depth was 18 in. with a 5.35 inch water content. No comparison figures are available for 1956 since crews werent able to get to the Yankee to take the a year ago.
