Vets of 25 years ago. The special groups discour- aged the soldiers from any of discussion politics. The idea of course was to keep them from knowing how rotten some do politicians get. One important thing to remember is the action by this citys commission to keep rent control out of Logan, which has resulted a few landlords demanding cxho.bitant rents. Its too bad we cant name those pirates and ask the public to boycot their places, when houses are available, but to do that these fellows, who have plenty of money could always find some shyster lawyer who would try a court action for libel. Right now we ask those who get a document from the sheriff tellling them to vacate the house they live in. dont get panicy that paper dont mean you face prison or you will be moved. In order for a landlord to force a person out he has got to hire a lawyer and most of them wont do that it costs money. Until you get an order signed hy the court, you dont have to move, neither do you have to pay an increase in rent. The court is not going to sign eviction orders, because his job would be in jeopardy at future elections, as there are many more votes from people who rent than From landlords, so dont get panicy about a request to move from the sheriff. Another subject is that of valuable information from KVNU. In case there are some like yours truly, who did not know the wliy and wherefore of the school lunch, the following was told: $305,000 comes to Utah from Washington for school lunch and the state matches that amount mostly with profits from the liquor monopoly. 12,000 women will be employed tins year to prepare and serve this food, and when we consider .that about 50 per cent of young men were too impoverished for military duty, mostly the result of in their itfwve, lets be thankful for school vunches where only the food is served that builds healthy boys and girls A thing to remember is that Cola (a stimulant) is not included with school lunches; only foods of value to mind and body In Hinder-nourishme- is nt served. Tt is wonderful what strength 'of purpose and boldness and energy of will are roused by the assurance that we are doing our duty. Scott P .M. TUESDAY j i rj W w t v--- t - . 2 P. M. 10 P.
