Of The Above Total m FULL DAYS OF FUN AND PLEASURE taxpayers of the counwith the Cache county board at their budget Thursday. They were Allen of Cove and Joseph Bergeson of Lewtston. Item lor item was taken up and protest was nude in tlie increases in salaries during these times of depression. Tlie Cove representative urged upon the board to budget funds for opening of the Cove school this fall and served notice upon the board that should It decide to close tlie Cove school the children there will go wiUiout a schooling this season. Tlie budget carried an Item of an Increase of 170 a year salary raise and 150 a year expense increase for the county supermtendent. In as much as the budget was prepared by the supermtendent and submitted for board approval and in as much as the watchword with this official Is etenemy, exception was taken to this increase. This exception wus taken because of the fact that this cf.'lciui is urging the closing of the Cove and College ward schools for economy purposes. Exceptions were taken to the salary raise in further view of the fact that tlie taxpayers are now heavily burdened with their commodity prices going down and their taxes increasing. The increase of the superintendents salary and expense account is from $3300 to (3620 per year. Exception was taken to tlie Increase in expense of this account from the further fact that should the above schools be closed, the expense of the superintendent should be decreased instead of increased. The 1934-3- 5 budget carries an Increase of $18,155.55 above last year's budget. m BY PROGRAM Horse Pulling;, Baseball, Among Feature Attractions Engineers to Show Visitors Over Giant Reclamation Project.
