Christiansen Beauty Salon The firit exhibit of picture now hanging in the new county library ihows u what an admirable the county hat in a building which, primarily a library, may be used as an art gallery, a reception hall, a lecture room. The pictures also show how sorely the reading room is in need of permanent pictures, statuary, and rugs. Rugs, more than anything else, and we wish some Logan people who have the cause at heart would get up a loan collection of china or pic tures with a silver offering some Sunday afternoon. Now that the canyon homes are mostly closed, Logan would enjoy a reception some Sunday afternoon from four to six, when it need not interfere with church nor home duties. The pictures, now hanging in the reading room, are all by Mr. Henri Moser and all receive an excel lent light whether in the day time or evening. They show Mr. Moser in a new phase as a portrait artist and as the subjects with one exception are all Logan people you can have a good time looking at them. The best, by far, is that of the late William Budge, formerly president of the Temple. The portrait is a first class likeness, and all his many friends will be glad to see this excellent portrait of their old friend. Other pictures are portraits of Alfred Burgi of the Tenth ward, of the two oldest children of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Champ, of Mr. of the artist with Frank Young, of the mother-in-laArnold her daughters, and of Prof. looking as though be were none too pleased with this sorry scheme of is a portrait painted things. An artist like Mr. Moser gives much distinction to a city and Logan is fortunate in having Mr. Moser willing to lend his pictures and in not being obliged to import a picture exhibit. R. M. SMITH, Mgr. on Many mourned the loss of The Journal. They still feel that the sale of that publication to the California syndicate was brought about in a way that is absolutely Since The Journal suspended publication, Logan and Cache county have been practically without a local newspaper until the CACHE AMERICAN made its bow in the local field a month ago. If any one has any doubt as to the feelings in the local field as to the desires of the people wishing to have local newspaper interests handling their local newspaper, they should call in the office of the CACHE AMERICAN and see the number who every day are adding their names to our rapidly growing subscription list. Many of the citizens here are desirous that the CACHE AMERICAN enter the daily field and we promise them that their fondest hopes in this regard will be satisfied if our business continues to grow as it has during the first month. The growth of the CACHE AMERICAN has been nothing short of phenominal. Citizens, lend us your support, and we promise you a daily that will carry in addition to all the local news, an Associated Press service similar to that which The Journal was giving.
