Nye J I Feted At Shower School News Mrs. Calvin Broadhead, the former Miss Rozella Carlile, was honored at a lovely bridal shower in the Tabiona ward chapel Saturday afternoon. Games were played and a program enjoyed by the large crowd present. Many lovely and useful gifts were received. Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Broadhead were hqpored at a wedding dance in the Tabiona High School gymnasium Saturday evening. A large crowd attended and had an enjoyable time. A short program with Otto Johnsen as master of ceremonies was presented during the intermission. By Larry Van Tassell, Reporter Mr. and Mrs. William Van . , Tas-se- ll made a trip to Phoenix, Ariz. recently, where they enjoyed a visit with their son and daughter-in-laand their family, Mr. and Mrs. Gale Van Tassell. They hauled Gales and Elvas furniture from Tabiona to Phoenix. Miss Linda Lee Thomas was a weekend guest at the home of her sister, Mrs. Earl Griffiths in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Garth Van Tassell and family, of Salt Lake City, were weekend guests of their parents, Mr. and' Mrs. Cliff Van Tassell. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Roberts and Ginger were Vernal visitors during the past week. Mr. and Mrs.' Leslie Giles, of Salt Lake City, were visiting friends and relatives in this cinity during the weekend. j HOME FROM IRAN Mrs. LaRena Curry reports a . lovely surprise visit at the home s of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Van Drim-mele- n in Ogden recently. Mr. Van Drimmelen was .formerly principal at the Tabiona schools and his wife a favorite teacher. They re. cently returned from a two-yesojourn in Iran and Mr. Van Drimmelen is now an assistant to the 4; Dean of Education at the University of Utah and also working on his own Doctors degree. He is planning on attending school this winter. Elaine Moon, who is attending BV High. School in Provo, spent the last weekend' visiting in Hanna at the home of her parents. Leo S. Defa, Ray Lee and Ted Wilcken attended the Scout Roundtable in Duchesne Monday night of this week. Cecil Roberts visited over the weekend in Rangely, where he was a guest at the home of Miss Shirley Steele. The lesson in Relief Society given on Tuesday was on John Millington Synge and was given by Mrs. Florence Roberts. Mr. and Mrs. Oran Curry went to Orem' and American Fork Monday and returned home Tuesday. Mrs. Joe Curry and Gilbert Chatwin went to Roosevelt Monday on a business trip. SUNDAY SPEAKERS Joseph E. Thompson and Vern Carter, of 'Tabiona, and Pearl Moon and Nettie Defa, of Hanna, were the speakers in Sacrament meeting Sunday night Tabiona High School students are practicing some plays to be presented in the near future. The 9th to 12th grades are participating. The band, under the direction of Paul Woolston, is practicing for a special Christmas program. We are' still hoping for some more practice basketball games. Films on Iron and Steel were enjoyed by the 5th to 8th grades Monday. Three senior boys from Tabiona took the NROTC tests at the of Utah, Saturday.
