What was hoped would be an exciting evening at a basketball game, at Altamont, proved to be one of the most exciting all right, but one also of pain and shock, in the Roosevelt Hospital for six FRIENDSHIP CLUB HAS XMAS PARTY The Friendship Club Xmas party was held at the home of Mrs. Zella Grant, on Wednesday eve- ning, and a lovely Turkey dinner was served to the following members: Mrs. Rachel Neilson, Mrs. Phyllis Stephensen, Mrs. Sara Rasmussen, Mrs. Sylvia Abbott, Mrs. Theldna Marsing, Mrs. Myrtle Simpson, Mrs Myrtis Buckalew, . and Mrs. Vem Bromley spent Friday and Satuday in Moab, where they went to attend a funeral for Mr. Bromleys aunt, Mrs. Alvira Lance. Mr. Howard Burdick, son of Mrs. Maxine Burdick, is in the Price Hospital, where he has undergone an operation, resulting from the accident he suffered last April, and is reported as improving NEW BABY BOY AT THE BONDS FOR XMAS The Allen Bonds are exceedingly happy over the arrival of a baby boy, born at the Duchesne Clinic, on Wednesday morning at 7 a.m. Little Jerald Allen tipped the scales at 7 lbs. 14 oz., and was heartily welcomed at home by three sisters, Barbara, Dixie and Caren. Mother and baby are reported doing nicely, but the father is still recuperating. Mr. and Mrs. William J. Bond, grandparents, came to Duchesne, Saturday from their home in Heber, to bid little Jerald welcome. He is the only grandson to carry the Bond name so far, so he has a lot to live up to, reports the family.
