She was able to .return home Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Holgate are the proud parents of a baby girl born March 2 at the Roosevelt Hospital. All concerned are doing nicely. . Beverly Johnson and Marva Horrocks entertained at a surprise party Friday night in honor of Ramona Nielson. Twelve boys and girls enjoyed an evening of games and a candy pull. Deon Bird was an overnight guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clair Duncan, of Neola, ' Friday. Rulon Gilbert was entertaln-e- d Saturday night at a birth- . Evans. The evening was spent playing games. Ice cream and cake were served to twelve guests. Thomas M. Gilbert returned Tuesday from a tour with the Commercial Bank of Utah through California. He reports a very enjoyable and interesting trip. A large crowd from here attended the Teen Gold and Green ball at Duchesne Tuesday evening of last week. Mrs. Frank Holgate and new baby daughter returned from the Roosevelt Hospital last Fri day. , Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Mecham and children, of Mt. Home, were overnight guests Thursday of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Ross. Mr. and Mrs. Clair Duncan and children, of Neola, visited Wednesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bird. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Turpen-inand daughter, of Salt Lake, are moving onto the Charlie Jensen ranch, where they will be employed. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bird received a phone call recently from their son, Melvin, in California, saying he was to be transferred to Pearl Harbor. He will leave San Francisco on March 21. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bird Visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Emery Nielson at Myton on Tuesday of last week. Mr. and Mrs. George Anderson and Delbert Davies were in Roosevelt Wednesday evening for the M.I.A. district dance class, supervised by Mr. and Mrs. Dwain Buchanan. Ward Primary preparation meeting was held Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Kathryn McDonald. Mr. and Mrs. Dean G. Anderson, of Portland, Oregon, and Jerry Sandal, of Portland, visited Mr. and Mrs. George Anderson lgst Friday and Saturday. Miss Peggy Sorehsen was party t hostess at a teen-agher home Friday evening. ' M. I. A. preparation meeting was held Friday evening at the George Anderson home. Thi Exceed $1SC3 California Company will move a rig from one of their completed wells at the Red Wasn Field to their recently announced new location in the Antelope Creek unit area, it was revealed recently. The Antelope Creek unit is in Duchesne County, and the operator who unitized the area was Robert H. Miller of Los Angeles, California. Assignments of interest from Miller to the California Company are in the process of being recorded at the Federal Land Office in Salt Lake City. Exact location of the first operation in the new location has not yet been anInformed oil sources state nounced. that there is a possibility that Shell Oil Company may soon drill its small block, located just south of California Company's holdings in the Red Wash Field. Several other companies hold land in this area, and may participate in development here, if the area is to be unit ized.
