Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-DaSaints, for Lloyd Wadley, 56, local farmer, who died at 5 p. m. Friday, July 13, in a Provo hospital, following an extended illness. Bishop Bernell Turnbow conducted the services. He was born May 12, 1895, at Pleasant Grove, a son of William WT. and Margaret Jane Ladle Wadley. When he was a small child, the family moved to Woodland, Summit County, and later to Tabiona, where they were pioneers, arriving shortly after the reservation was opened to white settlers. Mr. Wadley had extensive hobbies, practicing taxidermy and photography. He had a reputation for helping people in need. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was active in the Mutual Improvement Assn, and ward dramatics. Survivors include two brothers, Virgil and William Wadley, Tabiona; three sisters. Mrs. Hazel Nye, Heber; Mrs. Zelma Lazenby, Tabiona, and Mrs. Earl Loveland, Bridger. The Chaplain School offers a course for chaplain assistants to certain enlisted men. The main purpose of this course is to teach them to shoulder the responsibility of the technical and administrative functions of the chaplains office in order to free the chaplain to give his entire time to his professional activities. The school moved to Fort Slocum just 2 Vi months ago from Carlisle Barracks, Pa. This enlisted mens class is the first of its kind to be trained at the school's new location. It is the largest chaplain assistant's class in the history of the school. Graduation exercises were held on July 14. Corporal Lewis will be stationed at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma.
