A new class in Toy making is busy this six weeks making toys and wooden articles for Santa Claus. It is made up of responsible ninth grade boys. Arnold Leylback of the government offices gave a very interesting discussion and explanation of the weather station to the 8th gTade science class. They learned that since the weather recordings were begun in 1915 the coldest it has been was 39 below zero, and that the wind in the Spring has averaged 39 miles per hour for 24 hours, the annual rainfall was about seven inches and a number of other interesting facts. We have lined up two different places for a skating pond, if one fails we can use the other. The offices were kind government enough to lend us some pipes and material and the N. Y. A. hoys have been building dams and ditches. One of the N. Y. A. boys made a neat ward robe box for the band suits to hang in. The Junior high is planning another party for December 15th. The Whiterocks basketball team is coming ,down that night to play our boys and the Drama class is putting on a play. There was a very nice turn-oto P.-A. meeting at Bridgeland last Friday night.
