D,COuple P E in ' On Friday morning of laBt week at 12:25 oclock, the angel of death entered the home of Mrs. Hannah Spier-mao the First ward and claimed that good woman after she had been suffering all summer, the four last weeks being spent in bed and racked with pain) In the passing of Mrs. bpierman a good woman has been called to her rest She was born on July 81st, 1860 at Sherpinge, Blerkinge, Sweden and grew to woman hood in that land. She married Jens C. Jensen in June, 1883 and in 1885 her husband died and she was left to care for two small boys. The following year the mother and little boys started for Utah and arrived in due time at Brigham City where a home was made. In 1899 the eldest son, a little shaver of five or six years, was killed at the lumber yard where the Academy of Music now stands, by a pile of lumber falling upon him. who was His brother Christian, drowned a short time ago at the Hot Springs, suffered a broken leg at the same time, as both lads were playing on the lumber pile when it toppled over. On February 12, 1890, deceased became the wife of the late Hans P. Spierman who passed away a few years ago, and fro mthat union two sons, Conrad and Vogel of this city and one daughter Mrs. E. T. Secrist of Garland, resulted. Mrs. Spierman also has a brother living in Idaho, a sister and a brother living in Sweden. Deceased was a hard working woman with a very high sense of honor for she was absolutely honest and very frugal in her life. She never turned a deaf ear to the cry of the needy for she had gone thru that school and her sympathies went went out to the unfortunate. She was a prominent member of the ward Re lief Society and was faithfui to the convictions which she entertained relative to spiritual matters. She was in every way a good woman and has gone to a well earned rest. Universal sympathy goes out to the children, especially the two sons, who are left n alone. Impressive funeral services were held in the First ward chapel on Monday of this week. Bishops counselor u, W. Anderson in charge. There was a profusion of autumn flowers banked about the stand and on the casket and the attendence was very large.
