For that reason 1, am going to give the readers of the' News an idea of what is doing in the Snake River valley. This year has been a very successful one for business men and farmers alike. With the exception of the rust in the wheat, crops have jield-e- d abundantly. The sugar factory is running full force and grinds up about six hundred tons of beets per day. Most of the beets are now dug and have been pitted at the factory. A few years ago it was thought that fruit could not be raised in the valley, yet this year peaches, apples, and plums, etc., have been harvest ed and are just as delicious as Brigham fruits were several years ago when the writer had the pleasure of picking and eating some of it. An incident occurred in Rexburg last week that reminded one of the early days of Corlnne and other freighting towns. A large train of 22 wagons was loaded in Rexburg for B. F, Blodgett of Victor, Teton Basin It was an inspiring sight to the you-- . g people to see such a large train lined up on Main street, and, indeed, the older ones scratched their heads and said that it looked as if the old times had come again. first-clas- s, NEWS, ar Are said often to be bnried six foot under ground.
