Mr. Pingree was successful in securing a large acreage and left black contracts with his son John Pingree at the Bank of Brigham City for those farmers whom he failed to meet. I kept a record for two months past In January my hens laid 246 eggs and In February 174, making 35 dozen. These at 20 cents per dozen (though received much more) would be $7. One hundred chickens at this rate would bring $28 and there would be 12 hens to make up any deficiency.
