The water from both forks of rhe creek was intended to be used for water power for the proposed electric light plant. A good site for power house had been selected. An agreement had been reached by which toe city could obtain a quit-claideed from former owners of water power for mill purposes of all their rights for sum of 1100 to be paid in lights. A title to land where mill was located could also be secured to be paid in lights for meeting house at Mantua. The people there desired to m operate with Brlgbam city in constructing the electric light system. Fifty dollars was appropriated to continue the work of lowering Bo Elder creek in fields west of Mantua. The Mayor recommended that N. J. Co. was tried, The action was to recover for the killing of a cow belonging to plaintiff. J. D. . Call appeared for plaintiff and Geo. II. Smith for defendant company. The jury brought in a verdict of fCO for plaintiff. Jens John llaoseQ and Lawrence Hansen of Bear River city were admitted to citizenship. Michael J. Sanders vs The O. S. L. Ry.
