As our readers may be as interested as we were to. know what great crime we had committed, we copy the following exposure from the last Box Elder Report: The editor of the Box Elder News has written letters misrepresenting the facts concerning the circulation of this paper. Although we have charged him with it again and again he has never denied it. In the last issue of his paper he demands the proofs. We offer to print the letter in full if he will give us au order bo that we can withdraw It from the files. But lie has not only attempted to injure his competitor by secret letters. He has misrepresented the facts in his paper. In his issue of November 14th, he called this paper an unscrupulous sheet. In his issue of March 3rd, he alleged that out subscription claim was false Exaggerated from five to seven times. Thus then you have the proof. When this paper was started the editor of the News proposed to ruin it. . To use his own words to freeze it out. To carry out his scheme he slandered tbe paper and misrepresented the circulation. We then offered to permit him to ctme into the office and see our invoices and count our mailing list and our papers. He refused to accept this courteous offer, and repeated the misrepresent a tion.
