According to the report of Mosiah Hall, state high school inspector, this district has 99 per cent of its total school population enrolled. We clip the following item from The ' Salt Lake Telegram of Monday evening: "With more than 99 per cent of the distict school population in attendance at the elementary 'and' high schools, the Nebo District in Utah county is the. best attended district in the entire! United States. '"This is the statement of Mosiah Hail, state high school inspector. He has just completed a check of'the district. Comparison of records of dfisricts from 'ail over the tuition show it to have the lead. , .. "There are approximately 6000 students in the schools; 12 per cent of- whom are inMh'e consolidated high school., 'This fact alone makes th& district distinctive, as the normal percentage of elementary as compared to high school is but six per deal mote atriven for ! . - cent. "The sfhVe' hoard of education has now received statistical reports from every school district in the state. While Mr. Hall made a very flattering report on the condition of the school in this district, and it is a report of which the officers of the schools and the patrons in general wn well be proud, he did not give us all the credit that was properly ours. An analysis of the statistical high school' report for last year in regard to the distribution of the apportionment of the state high school fund shows that this district had nearly twice as many students attandng high school as any other district of the same size in the state. Thp figures are as follows: Nebo, 640 students who attended high school at t twenty weeks last school year, B;xelder, 288; Cache, 252; Davis, 2"9; Granite, 237; Juab, 125; San Pete, 186, Sevier, 213; Tooele, 164; Wasatch, 135. Yet I feel that the beet growers should have a little more consldeia-tio- n with regard to the unloading of his beets. The sugar company must know that this must be guaranteed to the farmer in the future, so that he is not kept loafing away his time it the sugar factory. This one thing alone, accounts for a great deal of the discontent that the farmer feels, and the extra expense to which he has been subjected this fall, and the farmer feels that in the future this condition must he remedied. While dumping, if the field manager saw that his men assisted in the nrk (as it is done in Idaho) so as to keep the farmers moving he would he able to catch the smiles and approval of all instead of hunting for cover from the grumbling and abuse. For instance, my extra expense on account of the inadequate arrangements for unloading this year is 9320 Extra new dump rack, 1170, extra jages, $90, exra team because of the jauler losing time at the factory, $60, would now be receiving the extra ollar per ton for my beets if I had "at gone to this extra expense. Another good suggestion was made t our farmers meeting which was alked down. This was that we have n extra hour or more if needed to Oliver beets.
