In the U.S. trict' Court at Des Moines yesterday Judge Dillon gave the opinion of the court on the motion of plaintiff in the Union Pacific Railroad mandamus suit, to quash the service, on Ihe ground that the court has no jurisdiction, and that the writ was not properly served. The court held that it had full jurisdiction, and thaF the service was valid; that tho company are doing such business inIowa ns to biinp thm within the jurisdiction of the Circuit Court for Iowa, and under this ruling the order of the board of directors does not justify a railroad president or other officer in a violation of law.
