From conversation, yesterday, with reliable parties just in from the Cariboo mines, we learn that the claims opened so far are panning far out beyond the expectations of the most sanguine, and it is likely to become the most prosperous mining camp in the mountains thisfall. Owing to a scarcity of lumber and lateness of the season, considerable - delay was experienced in opening claims and getting sluices in operation, hence some few of the Cariboo gold seekers returned discouraged, but those who went to work and mastered the obstacles placed in their way are reaping a rich reward for their energy. The gold, specimens of which wo examined, is, course, but very fine in quality, being worth, we should judge, twenty dollars per. ounce. All claims that have been worked so far pay from five to twenty dollars per day, and those who are fortunate enoughr to possess ground are confident of securing their portion of the needful therefrom. ; of the sport Je6-t- f with remunerative results.
