Taylor was one of five finalists from a field of 47 candidates, who came from LOA chapters throughout the Department of Defense. I knew I was nominated, but I had no information. I was very surprised, Taylor said. Its a sizable scholarship, and I gotta pick up two more classes coming up, but just the recognition from the logistics community really means a lot. Majoring in management and logistics at Park University here on Hill, Taylor 14-ye- ar average into his junior year. My goals are to complete my Bachelors degree in Management and Logistics at Park College and continue to provide a positive role model for my daughter, Taylor said. And reflect to the best of my ability our Air Force core values in everything I do. Taylor has proven his management skills in a number of logistics applications. For two years he distributed over $800 million of General Support Division Stock fund authority for 20 retail, d base and depot supply accounts of Air Force stock fund. He ran the budget within one percent of accuracy, the best ever achieved in Air Force Materiel Command saving a whopping $45 million of tax dollars. Along with his military activities Taylor is an active member in his community devoting countless hours to such causes as Operation Warm Heart Drive where he bagged groceries at the base commissary for donations. He also helps out with the Salvation Army food drive and even plays Santa Claus for children on and off base. He serves as a mentor to incarcerated men, women and youths.
