Air Force launches internet multimedia broadcast KELLY AFB, Texas (AFPN) Air Force News Service here launched its Internet multimedia broadcast, the first in the Department of Defense, with the potential to deliver Air Force news to more than 65 million people. Air Force Link Plus began broadcasting Sept. 13. The channel allows users to watch selected clips of Air Force Television News, listen to Air Force Radio News and read Air Force Print News stories. Air Force Link Plus is updated Monday through Friday at 1 p.m. eastern standard time. All radio and print reports are updated daily. One television story is updated each day. In addition to the news reports, Air Force Link Plus also carries a "Spotlight" feature. The feature, like an interactive fact sheet, spotlights a particular Air Force aircraft or key program. Spotlights currently running on the channel 6 and include the other aircraft. Each feature lasts about F-2- 2, C-1- 7, F-1- 5, F-1- one minute and includes video, animation and facts about the highlighted system.
