Does it mean you must become a general officer, chief master sergeant, or senior executive service civilian? "Success" in an Air Force career is not always defined in the rank we attain. Instead it should be defined as honorably serving our nation and being a con-- , tributing member of the Air Force team. Sometimes, striking a balance between our personal aspirations and realistic career expectations can be extremely difficult. In an effort to help airmen better understand success today, the Air Force Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel recently released "Realistic Career Expectations" for active duty officers, enlisted and civilians. This facility would consolidate workloads for the testing, repair, and calibration of aircraft electronic equipment. The new facility would support the repair work for various electronic components for fighter, transport, and bomber aircraft (the majority of this work will support the 6 Fighting Falcon). Consolidation of these repair shops into a single modern facility would provide a significant reduction in the repair costs by increasing the efficiency of the operation. Based on the findings of this Environmental Assessment, no significant environmental impacts are expected from construction of a new Airborne Electronic Support Facility at Hill AFB. This proposed action would have no significant adverse effects on the human environment or any of the environmental resources as described in the Environmental Assessment. Therefore, a Finding Of No Significant Impact may be issued, and preparation of an Environmental Impact Statement is not Hill graduated with 91 percent of his class.
