A total of $176,070 was paid, and the Air Force realized $9,930,469 in tangible savings. Aircraft Directorate employee Richard L. Holt received a $6,502 IDEA Award for a ramp hook assembly suggestion. Holt noted that when a defective bearing was found, the entire ramp hook assembly was replaced. He suggested that only the bearing be replaced, for a tangible savings of $43,512. Dean Webb, an ICBM System Program Office equipment specialist, received $2,091 for suggesting that protective dust caps be manufactured by the Hill Plastic Injection Molding Shop.
