Show Bundles for Babies needed in Grand Because of the economic situation in Grand County, a crucial need has become apparent and Bundles for Babies has been organized to meet that need. It is a project organized and operated by a group of nurses, who have decided there is no reason any of our babies should not have their basic clothing needs met " It is die goal of Bundles for Babies that any needy baby receive sary clothing free. The organizers believe such a pro-r- ! ject can and will be successful and " ongoing, with support and donations from die community. Because of possible massive injuries sustained in accidents the only items being requested are car seats. 'v We also want each baby to have one new quilt or blanket and anyone u who would be interested in donating material or labor can contact Helen ' Rockwell or Melody Sakrison. ; The immediate needs are for sleepers, shirts, diapers and blankets. Donated items can be dropped off at Moab Laundry (they have donated initial laundry service). Items will be distributed at Allen Memorial Hospital. Individuals with questions or needs can contact Helen Rockwell 4 at or Melody Sakrison at 2S9-761- 259-553- 2. We invite and strongly encourage any parent who has an infant clothing need to contact us and we February this year distinguished itself by being slightly cooler than average. And the three inches of snow which fell exceeded any other February in 17 years, except February 1987 when eight inches fell. There was snow on the ground all month, a condition equalled only in February 1979 (when the coolest night was minus 12 on the fourth) and February 1974. And while the average reports 1.06 inches of snow in February, this is largely accounted for by this year and last. During the period 14 Februaries received less than two inches of snow, and four had none. Statistics for last month are 47.7 average daily high and 18.3 average nightly low. This compares with the period averages of 51.3 high and 25 low. 17-ye- ar Need Furniture?
