"Differences among Regions in timing and fee schedule approach have caused some confusion--whic- h we are working to rectify," Tixier said "Representatives from all Regions met in California last month and agreed to develop some standardization in terminology, price indexes used and timing before we move to implement a policy change," he added. "We are also meeting with impacted industry and public entities to explore alternatives." The proposed fee schedule and explanation are available in the October 15, 1987 issue of the Federal Register. These studies were completed at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff and were followed by contract work for the University and a temporary appointment with the Kaibab National Forest prior to joining the BLM. Dale's wife, Joy, is a registered nurse who has worked in several different areas of nursing. They have two daughters who are in high school. They are: Kathy, age 17, a high school junior, and Liz, age 15, a freshman.
