Hurrah is Pass overnight Hurrah Pass route offers an country variety of Backpackers " The canyon scenery, outstanding both from above and at the level of the Colorado River. This year, the Hurrah Pass trip will be expanded into an overnight route, with a campsite on the banks of the Colorado River. The trail, led by Charles Lovingood, features canyon depths and outstanding views from high up on canyon rims. The route leaves the pavement west ofMoab on the Kane Springs road along the south bank of the Colorado River. Features of the trip include a beautiful dripping spring and spectacular views of CanyotUands National Park and Dead Horse Point from the summit of Hurrah Pass. Safari Chairman Dee Trantor has advised that some sections in Lockhart Basin will be quite rough. Trip participants will also see the Needles section on the second day, as they travel out to the famous Elephant Hill jeep : trail above the Squaw Flat campground.
