Show ALFRED G. WOODLAND Funeral services for Alfred George Geo-rge Woodland, 81. of 554 So. 5th West, Brigham City, former resident resi-dent of Bingham Canyon for many years, who died at his home last Thursday morning, Nov. 1 5 at 6 a.m. after a short illness, were held Monday afternoon at I p.m. at Brig-ham Brig-ham City Fifth LDS Ward Chapel. Bishop Marvin S. Wright officiated. Services included the following: invocation, Adolph Reeder; vocal selection, "Oh My Father", Karl losephson; remarks, Pres. Rudger N. Price; vocal duet, "Beyond the Sunset", Harold and Lillian Felt; remarks, David C. Lyon; tribute, Del Ray Woodland; remarks, Bishop Bish-op Wright; vocal selection, "I Know That My Redeemer Lives", Rulon Huntington, and benediction Lee Rue Allen. Prelude and postlude music was played by Romina Ras-mussen. Ras-mussen. Mr. Woodland was born Oct. 6, 1881, in Richmond, to Alfred and Sena Thompson Woodland. He married mar-ried Crysta Burnham, Oct. II, 1905 in the Logan Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They resided at Farnum, Idaho, until 1913, then moved to Brigham City. They lived in Bingham Canyon Can-yon for a number of years where he was employed as a watchman at the mine. Mr. Woodland was a former counselor in the Bingham Ward bishopric for many years. They returned to Brigham City to reside ten years ago. Active in the LDS Church. He is survived by his widow; sons and daughters, A. Ceorge Woodland, Layton; Mrs. Royal (Zina) Peterson, Perry, Box Elder county; Mrs. Alvin (Anna) Smith, Ray B. Woodland, both Brigham City; Mrs. Eddie (Helen) Pugh, Bethesda, Mi.; I I grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, sisters, Noah Woodland, Mrs. Emily Nelson, Richmond; Mrs. Zina Ad-amson, Ad-amson, Salt Lake City; Aphraim Woodland, Ucon, Idaho; Leonard Woodland, Idaho Falls; Mrs. Amelia Home, Butte, Mont. Burial was in Brigham City Cemetery. Ce-metery. A number of friends drove to Brigham City for the viewing on Sunday and attended the services on Monday. |
