West made a few remarks, and the associ tion ol this circuit were reported b their respective officers, all of which reports showed the as sociations to he in a prosperous condition. C. passenger train brought in a number of friends ef our delegate, who had determined to come as far as Ogden to bid him welcome home. In the special cars were President John Taylor, Gen. D. II. Wells, A postles Joseph F. Smith and F. D. Richards, Bishop Edward Ilunter, Hon. Wm. Jennings, Hon. John Sharp, Gen. H. S. Eldredge and lion. J. M. Bei nhi-scand several others, friends and relatives whose names we did not learn. Upon the arrival of Mr. and Mrs. Cannon, the two special crs were uncoupeled from the regular train, an engine attached to them, and the entire party were taken to Salt Lake ahead of the regular train. We were glad to see Mr. and Mrs. Cannon looking so well, and join with thousands of others in the Territory in extending a hearty welcome upon their return to their pleasant home among a thou-ati- d hills. l, - Personal.
