After serving his sentence Briggs went to New York, after paying In full the amount he had misappropriated, found employment as a law clerk and went to London to represent certain American business interests there. Bellows, commissioner, of corporations, because of practices in his handling of Silver Hills, a Nevada mining stock, which Bellows charged were improper. Bellows charged Aldridge had profited to the extent of $102,000 from sales of $271,000 worth of the stock.
