Show WAIT A Police. Another Divorce Suit. LOCAL ITEMS. LITTLE LOXGER Another polygamous wife has com. menced suit against her muchly wedded lord for a decree of divorce. It is the ease of Ann Elizabeth Thomas against William Thomas, both parties being of Ogden. The plaintiff was a Gentile girl, aud against the will of her parents, four years ago, was "sealed" in the sinkhole of iniquity to the dirty fellow whose name she now bears, and against whom she now brings suit. She has been threatening to apply for a divorce for a long time, on account of inhuman treatment received at his bands. He did not only half s'.arve her, but when it suited his whim, he resorted to processes of chastisement. On these occasions, when she would mention anything about obtaining a divorce, be would coolly in form her that she had no standing in court; that in fact he hud got ber just where he wanted her and if she did not r. The east is very simple, and all the Coniuiietioner can legally da is to com mil the defendant for the action of a higher court, or discharge him. The statement we have dipped is false because, First, there is no William Thomas conoerued in the case. Second, the parties do not live in Ogden, but in' Flan City. Third, there is no poly gamy in the case at all, the man having but one wife. Fourth, it is the man who has applied for a divorce. Fifth, he has not abused her, as the evidence shows, nor asserted that she has "no standing in court," from the faot that he cites her to appear in court to defend a suit in divorce. Sixth, the Commissioner has not placed Mr. Thomas under bonds, and has no legal authority te do so.
