E.'s manager knows from a PoiJ. how to make the show business count. The piece was repeated in a monotonous manner. There are school girls in Prof. M ouch's seminary who would consider they had made a miserable failure if Ihey recited with no more feeling, and declaimed in no better style. It is easy to understand why A. E. proved such an utter failure in attempting to essay the role of an actress. It is evident from the narrativo of the lectures that her "life in bondage" commenced with her first marriage. In monogamy or polygamy she wasalmost equally dissatisfied; her niunogiiiuic experience being the worst of the two. She abandoned both the husband with no other wife and the one with scrsral. Little bits of family aud feminine scandal which she gossip related were hughly enjtyed by a portion of the audience, who evinced their approbation by the exercise of henry soles and walking canes; the most prominent among them being an individual who, not long ago. was convicted of a most revolting crime, and only escaped through that friend of convicts, Habeas Corpus, Esq. Eitnated on Editor Jvkctiom: I, with many mere ef the people of Almy, was very pleased in the way you advocated the People's Ticket through the eolumns of the Junction, at this was the only way we could make public the above ticket. As you are well aware, the Evanston Age being bought by the Democratic party, it, of course, sustained that whiskey ring, which now I believe is broken up to a great extent by the People's Ticket. Everything went off peaceably on the fore part ef the day, but towards night a little disturbance was brought about by a certain party of this place who, on previous elections has been in the habit of running the election at Almy their own way.
