This work i.i one of the most remarkable literary successes of the year, having already reached a sale considerably in excess of 300,000 copies. But, better than this, it fully merits its immense popularity. Scientific and yet eminently practical, it treats of a most impor'-aclass of subjects, which, unfortunately; it has hitherto been left almo-- t or t' o entirely to the quack, the empiric, ' sensationalist, to "write up-- for the million. It treats of the hygiene of woman in her various relations of maiden, wifj and mother, amlof the married ttate iu generul. Difficult as it may appear, theso subjects are handled with such precision aud firmness, and yet so delicately, that the work has received tho hearty endorsement of many of the most distinguished physicians, clergymen and philanthropist of the country.
