Pabllahed Yesterday at half1 o'clock, the train arrived from the past East with the first instalment of th s year's European Emigration. There were 245 souls in the company, mostly from England and Switzerland. They all appeared well and in good spirits, and very thankful to be so near the end of their long journey. They were in G. of Elder Karl Maeser, who charge has been absent during the past three year 8 on a mission to Switzerland and Germany. The following returning mis sionaries were also on the train ; Elders Lewis MGrant, Joseph S. Richards, Winslow Farr, II. B. demons, Howard 0. Spencer, Thomas Rogers, Levi Garrett J. Tuddenham, and Win. Pidcock. The train was shunted on to the Utah Central track, and (he Company proceeded to Salt Lake City, at 2.15, p. m. Some of the emigrants had friends who had come to Ogden, specially to meet them and convey them home direct, but as the baggage could not be overhauled here it was considered best for them all to go on to Salt Lake City. This occasioned a little disappointment but the propriety of the arrangement was seen at once, and cheerfully complied with. At Kaysville, the First Presidency and several, leading Elders, having come up by special train, met the emigration, and accompanied them to Salt Lake Thi Emigration.
