Then on July 23, a series of post-seaso- Pee-We- Major n. district tournaments will get underway. The Avenues League will host one of the district meets at its Ninth Ave. and M St. ball park. South Granger American will take on Rose Park and Riverton National will face the Avenues in three. a best-two-out-- of district tournament will be held at Sorenson Park, 1100 W. Indiana Ave., and will be hosted by the Edison. It will also be a best format with Kearns American battling Bonneville and Indian Mills taking on Edison. In the first it will be Sandy against Hillview with Murray drawing a first round bye and in the second it will be Brighton against Midvale and Ridgecrest getting the bye. Following the district tournaments, there will be two regional tournies. The two winning teams from the Midvale district meet will advance to the regional hosted by South Granger American on July 30 and 31 and The South Granger Aug. field is located at 2785 S. 2700 W. The second regional will be held at the Indian Hills league park at 1200 S. Wasatch Blvd. It is scheduled for the same dates as the South Granger American regional. Strong hitting and some great defensive playing enabled them to proceed undefeated in the tournament. The West Jordan Pee Wee All Stars beat Alta one and two, Western Hills and Jordan Valley. Players on the All Star team were chosen from the various Babe Ruth PeeWee teams. This year's players include: Jeremy Hymas, Ryan Leonelli, Mark Carl Herren, Schoenfeld, Branden Hockenbury, Jamie Wallace, Corey Leiter, Mark Anderton, Chad Crawford, Ryan Kuehn, Craig Susaeta, Nathan Jack, Ryan Thomas, John Kemp and Andy Prescott. The minors tournament will run through July 27 with games at 4 and 6 p.m. each day. The Majors tourney will get started Saturday, July 28 and will run through Aug. 2. It will be held at the Kearns Bobby Sox diamond near 5000 S. and 4000 W. Games will be at 9 and 10 a.m.' and 1 p.m. the first day and 4 and 6 p.m. thereafter. tournament The minors winner will go on to play in California beginning Aug. 20.
