County DUP attended the sixth annual seminar, held June 9 at Little America in Salt Lake City. Louise E. Bruce Elm gave a slide 3 screens on presentation entitled "From simultaneously, Nauvoo to Great Salt Lake" which told of "The Mormon Trail." In departmental meetings two area members were invited to participate. The subject "In the Beginning" was given by county lesson leader, Rosemary in the lesson department. Colleen Carlsen, historian for the Union Fort Camp DUP, presented pictures and gave a history of the D.U.P. marker located at the Union Pioneer Memorial Cemetery. She also told of the Union Cemetery beautification project. Others in attendance from the county board were Marjorie Clements, Louise Petersen, Terese Millerburg, Rae Van Leeuwen, Rada Smith, Delia Hatch, and HelenMarr Johnson. She and other student officers were sworn in recently following elections and are already planning activities for the fall and winter semesters. A junior in public relations, Stephanie is the daughter of Dr. William T. and Sandra Black. As women's vice president, she numerous will supervise activities of women on campus from the annual women's conference to dances, speakers and seminars dealing with women's issues.
