The report was logged at 7:42 p.m. on Oak Wood Court. Public police logs did not provide details. The Feb. 24 report followed a little more than three weeks after a bobcat was seen on Mellow Mountain Road. Oak Wood Court and Mellow Mountain Road are not adjacent streets, but they are roughly in the same area of Park City with open land in the vicinity of both streets. The earlier case, reported Jan. 31, involved a bobcat that was seen protecting a deer carcass behind a house and close to a trail. The bobcat had consumed part of the deer, a Mellow Mountain Road resident who saw the scene said. A range of wildlife lives in the Park City area, including moose, elk and deer. The day before, a vehicle was seen parked across a crosswalk on the same block. • on Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 2:38 p.m., a van was reported to be parked in a location where it blocked an alley in the Main Street core. People could not get to a store, the police were told. • on Monday, Feb. 19, five parking problems were reported between 9:37 a.m. and 12:06 p.m., including a 10:07 a.m. case on Deer Valley Drive in a location described as a bus zone. Skis were reportedly stolen at 5:53 p.m. on Main Street. In an unrelated case, reported at 8:43 a.m. on Lowell Avenue, skis were reportedly stolen the day before from a rack. Someone told the police at 12:09 a.m. a parking gate at the China Bridge garage did not open even though they had a parking pass. On Friday, Feb. 23 at 4:09 p.m., a hit-and-run traffic accident was reported on Richardson Flat Road. Public police logs did not provide details. On Thursday, Feb. 22 at 10:02 p.m., water was reportedly seen leaking from a sprinkler head somewhere along Deer Valley Drive. The Police Department indicated the leak was a utility issue. On Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 12:04 p.m., a strong scent of natural gas was reported in a building on Sidewinder Drive. The Police Department indicated the case was a utility issue.
