No one was hurt, and the robbery was over before patrons and other employees in the bank were aware of what was happen- HERALD American Fork police are looking for leads after the Central Bank in American murder case delayed jk1 -- il Fork was robbed Friday afternoon, "At about 1229 this afternoon a white male wearing a black leather jacket, a baseball hat and sunglasses walked into Central Bank," said Sgt. Shauna Greening of the American Fork Police Department. "He held up a note to the teller saying this is a robbery." The teller turned over an undisclosed amount of cash, and the robber ran away, she said Bank employees tried to watch where the man ran to, but he disappeared ing, she said. Central Bank is located at 175 E. Main Street. Police released still photos from video surveillance footage taken inside the bank at the time of the robbery, and hope someone recognizes the robber and comes forward with information, Greening said. "Someone might recognize him or the clothing," she said. Police don't know if the man had a getaway car nearby or escaped entirely on foot, she said. Rodeback said she decided to get involved after hearing about the death of Larry Edward Carter, 48, who was found frozen to death on Dec. 31 in the Jeep where he had been living in the parking lot of an apartment complex.
