Wayne Barker Jacquelyn Parrish Barker 2615-92Jacquelyn Parrish Barker, age 60, of Mapleton, passed away on Thurs-- . day, Septem ber 16, 2004, as the result of a tragic auto accident, along with her husband, Wayne. She was born on June 9, 1944, in Long Beach, CA, to William Lorimer and Alice Pratt Parrish. She married William N. Huff on March 14, 1964. Together they had Sandra (Winant), Debra (Grant), and Rhonda (Graff). They later divorced. She then married Jack Lee Staats on August 1979, and together had Rachel and Joshua. They later divorced. Jackie went on to marry M. Wayne Bark-- , er on November 29, 1986. Together they had Shayne. Jackie was the mascot for and graduated from Roseville High' School in Roseville, CA. She later became a Licensed Massage Thera ' Mark Wayne Barker, age 75, of Mapleton, returned to his Father in Heaven on Thursday, pist and Aesthetician. She was also a certified aromatherapist. She ' loved to read, dance, bowl, and camp. Our mom, Jackie, is truly loved; she is an inspiration to her family. She's beautiful and has unconditional love for everyone, She has the biggest heart and sense of humor. She loves her husband, Wayne, and her children with all of her being and we are grateful for that and will truly miss her. Jackie is survived by her children and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Alice; and by her loving husband, Wayne. Joint funeral services will be held on Monday, September 20, 2004, at 11 a.m. in the Mapleton IDS Stake Center, located at 400 East 970 . North, Mapleton. Wilma preceded him in death in 1983. He then married Jacquelyn "Jackie" Parrish in Provo, Utah, on November 29, 1986, and had one child. Wayne loved to fish, hunt and be in the outdoors surrounded by his family. Jex, 87, passed away on Friday, Sept. 17, 2004, at the Crestwood Care Center in Ogden. She was born Aug. 3, 1917. She was a resident of Spanish Fork and later moved to Salt Lake City, and then to Ogden. Bettie worked as a linotype operator for the Spanish Fork Press and Art City Publishing. She attended Spencer Elementary School in Orem, the Maeser School in Provo, and Provo High School. Piano lessons, reading won- derful books, and hiking Mount Timanogos were some of Nedra's pasttimes. Later Nedra attended "The B. Y. Academy when Heber e J. Grant was President and Dr. taught a speech class. She graduated with a major in education and minors in business and English, and got a job as a school teacher in Jesus Christ of Latter-daSaints in this former Communist country. After David's death in 1996, she e served as a missionary in the New Zealand Auckland Mission from She also taught Institute classes at the Westminster, St. George, and Honolulu Institutes of Religion. Jeanne loved her home and family. She tried to do good. She is survived by her children: David M., Holladay; Steven M. (Kathy), and children: Stephanie and Michael, Taylorsville; Jonathan N. (Patty), and children: Nicole Meek (Michael), Tiffany Alleman (Jonathan), Brett, and Timothy, Bountiful; Brian C, Salt Lake City; James M. (Karen), and children: David and Olivia, Bountiful; Suzanne J. and son Joshua, St. George; and Catherine Klein (Todd), and children: Christopher and Emma, Pr escort, Arizona. Jeanne grew up in a large family and is survived by several brothers and sisters: Mildred DeLate, Lenore Morris, Paul M. Morris, Grant I. Morris, Herbert J. Morris, Cheryl Rose, and Mavis Oswald. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 20, 2004, at Noon, at the Monument Park Stake Center, 1320 S. Wasatch Drive. On April 9, 1943, Nedra married Ned Edwin Tucker, who had moved to Provo from Chicago to work in the steel industry. Ned and Nedra first made their home in American Fork, where they enjoyed golfing together at the new country club, and later settled in Provo. The couple shared a great sense of humor, traveled the U.S. with their Airstream trailer, were busy and happy in association with the Provo 8th Ward, and were loving foster parents. Nedra also enjoyed oil painting and noticed with an appreciative eye the beauty all around her. After Ned's death in 1985 and having no offspring, Nedra unofficially adopted the family Parkinson-Taylo- (American Fork). ' A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 2L at Berg Mortuary, 185 East Center Street, in Provo. Funeral services are pending and will be announced by Walker Family Mortuary of Spanish Fork. OBITUARY FEES FAMILY MORTUARIES 3 1924-200- 4 Jeanne Morris Home passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2004. She was born November 15, 1924, to Parley M. and Sarah E. Morris. She marv. ried David M. Home in the Salt Lake Temple on May 18, 1946. He preceded her in death. Jeanne was educated in Salt Lake City schools and graduated from the University of Utah. She taught school before raising a family of five sons and two daughters. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints. She served for many years as a Relief Society teacher. She also served as Relief Society President, Young Women's President, Primary President, and Gospel Doctrine teacher. She put the Old Testament book Isaiah back into poetry and wrote a commentary from a Latter-daSaint's perspective. The book is entitled Isaiah, Prophet to the Nations. The scriptures were a source of unending joy and knowledge to her throughout her adult life. She lived in Alpine for ten wonderful years and produced a community Christmas musical called "Joyful Christmas Sounds." One year, the musical was performed in the Salt Lake Tabernacle with 610 performers. She also loved classical music, especially opera. Jeanne lived in Armenia from 5 with her husband, David. They helped establish The Church of of David and Mary Etta Parkinson as her own. She stayed young at heart, while hanging around the steady stream of Parkinson children attending BYU, even making the annual drive home over trt' the frozen rivers and through the snowy woods to Montana L 141 " for Thanksgiv ing. Nedra lived independently for the last twenty years of her life, enjoying kind neighbors (particular . thanks to the Billingtons) and lowing news of her sister Joy's four children, 10 grandchildren and eight Nedra took pleasure in her familiar life of knowing grocery checkers, nurses, receptionists, and bankers by their first names. After the injuries of several falls, Nedra appreciated being cared for by The Wentworth in Salt Lake and Sandy Regional Health Center. Having lived a full and happy life, with her body tired from pneumo- nia and congestive heart failure, Nedra passed into eternity on September 2, 2004. She was attended to the end by loving and admiring Louise Elder, Jeanne Morris Home and later moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. In 1985, she served an LDS Mission to Anaheim, California. In January of 2003, she was diagnosed with cancer, which she battled valiantly until her passing. She felt a great gratitude to family, friends, bishops, and employers that were so good to her during her life. Special hanks to Dr. J. Cordell Bott and his staff ; Dr. Scott Bingham, and Dr. Mitchell, cardiologists; and all of the great nurses and staff at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center.
