Show DAILY HERALD Wednesday, September 8, 2004 Continued from D6 More on D4 Richard Dee Harvey Richard Dee Harvey, 66 of Draper, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 5, 2004 at LDS Hospital after ' k valiant battle with cancer. He was born September 17, 1937, a son of John F. and He married Betty EMoul-tooinl95- - 7. & n3 they later divorced. He married Deanna Taylor Johnsoti who preceded him m death. He married Bernadine Vincent Vernon in 1999. Richard grew up in the Heber Valley where hunting, camping,, and fishing were some of his greatest joys. He moved to Provo with his parents in his early teens where he graduated from Provo High School He served in the National Guard, and was a member of the Utah County Jeep Patrol Richard made friends wherever he went. He was willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed help. Hejound that he loved to sel He worked for the Rosemarie Reid Company in California and was a salesman for the Jolene Company in Provo, where he later became part owner. Richard then went into the plastics field where he spent 12 years, working with his son and friends. Later in life he found he really enjoyed the heavy construction field. He did everything from driving dump trucks to being a sales man and superintendent for the Bolinder Companies and Staker Paving. He retired in 2002. Richard was member of the LDS church. The last 5 years that he has spent with Bernie have been special years. They came together after having been friends in high school and sharing similar circumstances in life. They formed a great love for each other in just a short time that wiB last forever. Richard was a loving husband and father to all of his children and grandchildren. He loved to golf, garden, fish, and ride his motorcycle with his friends. He enjoyed the outdoors and traveling, having just returned from a great fishing trip to Alaska in May. Richard enjoyed those times with family and friends. Richard is survived by his sweetheart, Bernadine; his children- - Craig Richard (Carolyn) Harvey, Katie Sue (Eric) Peterson, Robin (Scott) Bates, Kimberry (Tom) Harrison, Danny (Dawn) Vernon; 13 grandchildren; his brothers and sisters: Lael (Kathleen) Harvey, Evah (Derlin) Home, BiB (Shirley) Harvey, Velda (Roger) Ones, Lucile (Garth) Torgersen; and his cat, Bla He was preceded in death by his parents. He will be greatly missed The family wishes to thank Dr. Ford, his staff, and all those at LDS hospital for their care. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 9, 2004 at 12 noon in the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home chapel, 646 East 800 North, Orem A viewing will be held at the mortuary from 9:45 to 11:45 am prior to the service. Burial wiU be in the Orem City Cemetery. Paula them her own and worried and thought of them often. Paula graduated from Provo High School in 1987. Paula was actively involved with the Girl Scouts. She was the Events Director for the Tree Foil Service Unit. She loved the outdoors, fishing, wildlife and camping. She also loved ceramics, painting and reading. Paula was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints. She is survived by her husband, . Leonard H.
