The road, 450 East, will close Tuesday so construction crews can extend two water lines from the Marriott Center to Jean Fossum May HalL The road will remain closed until July 31. Alternate routes into campus include 900 East and 150 East (Canyon Road). John Cowan, BYU construction project coordinator, said officials made every effort to accomplish the construction during the slowest time of the year. "We realize it will be an inconvenience, and we re will do our best to accommodate the public," he said. Access to the Marriott Center is available from the north on University Parkway. The Marriott Center ramp will also be available if needed. ' The road immediately east of the Marriott Center is also closed due to other construction projects. The road closure will affect UTA bus route 832. The route will be detoured onto 150 East between Campus Drive and University Parkway.
