" "After five years of association in the club work of our atate with Mrs. G. E. Maw I will any that their are few men or women wbo.possess a greater vision of the future and present day needs. Although a busy mother and business woman she has kept her mfnd in tune with the questions of the day along educa tional lines', and baa only one desire and' that desire is service to our community. She was chosen to lead and repre; sent 3000 women in our state as president of the State Federation of Women's clubs because of her wide' experience and a knowledge-- not only of business but of intellectual activities. lit alogaa for. the women' or ganization of this atate is "better homes and better schools, " her edu cational program has been comment ed upon by educators of our state the superintendent of through schools of Utah and other states. There are few Women. who have been so willing to place women in their proper place in the atate of Utah. She bag brought many women who have done but little public work into prominence during the presi dency in the state .federation, women who in the future will yield a great moral influence, She Is a mother and that means she Is bound to have more tolera nee more sympathy and be more charit ' able. She, like other mothers who nave most wonderful capabilities in planning and accomplishing much with a little finance at hand. There are few. in the busy busi ness world who have made a study as has Mr.' Maw of problems both socially and intellecually confront ing our boys and girls. School boards are no longer con cerned with finances alone bnt with the development of the citisena Ct America Who are to lead its activities of our great state and perhaps the nation. Women have no desire to enter public activities, unless they can fill positions with credit ; they have ho desire of promoting any women unless they 'are a man's equal or his superior.
