Sprlng-vill- e nosed out one run to the good game here with Payson, making it certain that the Springers stay in the first division this half season. Payson tried a new hurler, Gar- rick, formerly with the Idaho league, and the newcomer did fairly well, holding the Springers down steadily throughout the game. With a better fielding job back of him and heavier hitting Garrlck could have started his Central Utah league career with a victory. Sensational fielding by Spring ers marked the afternoon's per formance. Taylor played into the catches outer garden for shoe-to-p that brought the fans to their feet, covering a wider area around short tnn' sny other shortstop on. the local field ever has done. His hitting, too, was above par, get ting three safeties, with one dou ble, in five times at bat. Flelger did some tall hitting, landing for three, including a double. Between Taylor and Fleiger over half of Springville's hits were credited McBeth, Kapple and Bonnett led the hitting crew from Payson, gar nering six of the seven Payson in yesterday's 1 fh OUR WAT. 1 By WILLIAMS.
