Jan. 27 Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Third ward chapel for Jonathan Hyrum Hales, who died Saturday at Provo. . Bishop Ralph Morgan was in charge and also made the closing remarks. The ward choir sang three selections and between the addresses Mrs. Annie Carbell sang a solo, "I'll Go Where You Want Me to Go. Dear Lord." and Mrs. Dale Beck Evans sang a solo. "Come, Ye Disconsolate." The speakers were Bishop George Hales. Bishop L. L. Nelson of Provo Second ward. Bishop Peter Boup and N. A. Peterson of Eureka. The invocation was offered by Henry Gardner, Sr., and H. F. Thomas of Provo pronounced the benediction. Interment was In the Spanish Fork City cemetery, where the grave was dedicated by Joseph Brockbank. The services were attended by many relatives and friends from this and a number of other cities.
