Paul g V. Hadley and. his young bride of Kansas City, Mo., accused of killing Sheriff Jake Giles of Beaumont, Tex., aboard a Missouri, Kansas & Texas passenger train early this morning, were captured late today a few miles from Checotah, when a posse surrounded a farmhouse in which the couple had taken refuge. Hadley and his wife were being taken to Beaumont from Kansas City. Hadley is wanted in Beaumont on charges of theft and assault to murder. Sheriff Giles did not handcuff his prisoners and they traveled as three companions. As the train neared Checotah, Sheriff Giles fell to the car floor, from a bullet wound in the head.dying The man and the woman, with pistols in hand, so eyewitnesses saj then held up the conductor, demanding that he stop the train.
