Pear son, Smelter St., spent the past week end visiting friends in Castle Dale. Her parents and their other daughter, 'Anna Ma Mr & Mrs Glen Lindahl, Roosevelt St. Several parties were given in their honor while in Utah, one of them being a dinner and dancing party last Wednesday evening at a Salt Lake hotel, for 12 guests, hosted by Mr Steph ens' family. They left for their home in West Covina last Sunday morning, where Mr Stephens is in charge of special education for the Rosemead District. Returning to her home on S. Main St., last Friday evening, was Mrs Leon Malmstrom, who spent a week visiting her son and family, Mr & Mrs Melvin Malmstrom, Seattle, Wash. Her granddaughter, Gaile, had spent four weeks visiting her grandparents and returned to her home in Seattle with Mrs Malm strom. Mr & Mrs Joel P. Jensen and children, Rees, Rosemary, and Maurine Ann, Roosevelt St., and their son and wife, Mr & Mrs Conover Jensen, Draper, spent Labor Day week end at Bryce Canyon. They returned via Esca- lante and the Boulder Mountain. Returning recently by train from a vacation was Miss Rosemary Jensen, daughter of Mr & Mrs Joel P. Jensen. Her aunt and uncle, Dr & Mrs Royal Brown, Riverside, Calif., had vacationed here previously and she returned to their home with them. They stopped at Las Vegas while en route to Riverside. While there they played golf at Blue Lakes Country Club as the 'guests of the Larry Hatches. Mrs Richard Berghout and children, Ann Marie, Janice, Lin ,1 nae, and Joyce, spent a week re cently at St. Charles, Ida., near Bear Lake, because of the illness and passing of Mrs Berghout's grandmother, Mrs Annie S. Keetch. who was 90 years of age. Mr Berghout was one of the pallbearers at the funeral which was held Aug. 30. Visiting at the home of his par-- 1 ents, Mr & Mrs Merle E. Brown, E. Wasatch St., are Mr & Mrs Ralph Brown and children, Bradford and Randall, Mountain View, Calif. They arrived last Sunday morning and will spend the week visiting his parents, and zoo. From there they enjoyed seeing Knott's Berry Farm, Marineland and other points of interest. While en route home they stopped at Lake Tahoe. Gary Higham, son of Mr & Mrs Richard Higham, is now home on a leave. He will report back to the Marine Depot at San Diego, Calif., on Sept. 18 and then will g0 to Jet Mechanic School at Jacksonville, Fla. 20-da- y went to Barstow, Calif., where they stayed for tw0 days visited their nephew in the Marine Corps, Sgt.
