A sixteen year-ol- d Murray high school junior will leave Monday to spend a week in San Diego and aboard ship as a guest of the United States Navy. Greg Fouquet was awarded the trip as a winner in the Salt Lake metropolitan science fair at the University of Uath this spring. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Fouquet, 5896 Kingston Way. Departure will be from Hill Air Force base on a naval aircraft Monday afternoon. In San Diego he will tour naval installations and take cruises aboard navy ships. All activities and accommodations have been arranged by the navy. Only two such trips were awarded science fair winners. A Salt Lake youth was the other winner and will join Greg at Hill Air Force Base for the trip. Greg's science fair entry was a model of a proposed space sta tion. He explained its functions, how it would be constructed and its operation. The project took third place in the applied physical science division of the meet. "I'm really looking forward to that week", Greg commented. However, the trip will necessitate his taking a week off from an electronics course he's tak-inat Salt Lake Trade Technical Institute. His .science fair win came prior to his course at Trade Tech, which he plans to continue through the sumnn-r- . "I'm taking the course because I'm interested in it", Greg explained modestly.
