'v XL'' - , t ' i 4 DefCIOUS A Real ...'', . for the annual "Song and Yell" contest CHEERLEADERS held at Cyprus senior high school yesterday were Shirley Jackman and Mary Sowby, seniors; Janiel Moesser and Tony Tygesen, juniors, and Sandra Taylor and Judy Cole, sophomores. The three classes have been preparing for this unique activity behind closed doors during the past weeks. Cyprus is the only school to hold such an event. Each class presents three original yells along with a song and clap. They were judged on their presentation and originality of the new items as well as on the interpretation and enthusiasm they put into the old school favorites. Her daughter. Mrs. J. C. (Grace) Stevens, of Mitpitoo, Calif., with her children, Glen Ruth and Betty, will be at her home. Mr. Stevens, who is a navy career man. is serving in the Far East, and will not be with his family. Also present will be two sons, and families.
